Evgeny Mezentzev

 

This is a strange multi-city story about a model originally from Russia. I discovered Evgeny Mezentzev when he was in NYC while I was searching for models for the On Display Men calendar website. His look was unique and sexy plus his body was amazing. I was already going to be in NYC for business so I set up a time to meet with him for a quick shoot. 

His smile and warm personality made one want to be his best friend right away. I suggested we start the shoot and he stripped naked. I was shocked since that isn’t the type of shoot we were doing; however, I was in awe because he was beautiful. I explained that we will be doing different shots without nudity and he was willing to do whatever. We did go out for dinner after the shoot and I discovered he was currently an escort in the city. After dinner we parted ways but I asked him if he was willing to come to Dallas to work with my photographer for an expanded shoot.

The shots from NYC weren’t what I had expected so I am glad we set up another shoot. He arrived excited to experience another city in America. He stayed at my house during his stay and walked around naked which I didn’t complain about. I had set up 2 shoots for him with my friend Adam Medders and also with physique photographer Jay Fuertez. Both shoots turned out to be some of the best I ever directed. He was sexy, beautiful, erotic and a natural model to work with. Adam and I took him to our favorite after shoot place, The Blue Goose. He loved that he got to eat TexMex. 

One day during his stay he told me he had done work with Sean Cody as Yuri. It wasn’t a big deal for him because of his work in NYC. He did identify as straight. After his Dallas trip, he went to San Diego for another session at SC. I got a call from the team at Sean Cody (he must have given them my number) to tell me that he got drunk with other models and went to Mexico. He was caught by immigration trying to enter the U.S. and was in detention. There wasn’t really anything I could do but I did talk to him. We keep in touch for awhile after he was deported. He had to stay out of this country for a couple years. We planned to continue his modeling career after that. I never heard from him after that. I am glad I had the opportunity to meet and work with Evegeny. He was such a wonderful man with genuine laugh and a big heart.
