Kyle Ray

 

One of the most wonderful, fun, always smiling and handsome men I’ve ever met: Kyle Ray. After I connected with Kyle from Michigan, we (Marko, Adam and I) started working with him on multiple shoots for The Dapper Style. While in school he was working at a gay club as a shot boy so he was comfortable around everyone. 

We worked together in Dallas many times and also for a Dapper Holiday group shoot in Chicago.  I also directed a sexy shoot he did for his portfolio with Calvin Brockington.  He was always silly on set and kept us all laughing. He was one of the most amazing looking men I ever saw; wearing wardrobe or shirtless shoots. After we finished a shoot we always went out for TexMex; even in Chicago. I can’t say enough how much I enjoyed his friendship and fun times over the years.

Then something happened and to this day I am not sure how he got so upset. We knew we were going to have a female for the Chicago Dapper Holiday shoot. He asked if his girlfriend could do it and I hesitated at first because I still needed him focused on the shoot. However, I did tell him that she could do it but he never brought her. The girlfriend of another model joined us for an epic shoot. We all had a great time and went out to eat after; all good. Kyle left to drive home and called me from the drive very upset. He was mad that we didn’t use his girl; but, I told him we could. I never got him calmed down in that call and I never heard from Kyle again. I have great memories of all times we got to hang out together and I still think about him often as such a wonderful person.
